Dr. Md. Alauddin is a cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgeon in Dhaka and Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Bangladesh Medical University (Ex-PG Hospital). He has spent more than twenty years in cardiac surgery, operating on newborns with congenital heart defects as well as adults who need bypass or valve surgery.
He completed his MBBS at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barishal, under the University of Dhaka, and his MS in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He later trained on a short-term fellowship at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore, India.
He leads an experienced cardiac surgical team trained in both conventional and minimally invasive surgery, has published in national and international journals, and sees patients for consultation and operation at Al-Helal Specialized Hospital, Mirpur-10.
ডাঃ মোঃ আলাউদ্দীন ঢাকার একজন কার্ডিয়াক, ভাস্কুলার ও থোরাসিক সার্জন এবং বাংলাদেশ মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (এক্স-পিজি হাসপাতাল) কার্ডিয়াক সার্জারি বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক। বিশ বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে তিনি জন্মগত হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত শিশু থেকে শুরু করে বাইপাস বা ভাল্ব সার্জারি প্রয়োজন এমন প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক রোগীদের অপারেশন করছেন।
তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধীনে শের-ই-বাংলা মেডিকেল কলেজ, বরিশাল থেকে এমবিবিএস এবং বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে কার্ডিওভাস্কুলার ও থোরাসিক সার্জারিতে এমএস সম্পন্ন করেন। পরে ভারতের ব্যাঙ্গালোরের নারায়ণা হৃদয়ালয় থেকে স্বল্পমেয়াদি ফেলোশিপ প্রশিক্ষণ নেন।
প্রচলিত ও মিনিমালি ইনভেসিভ — দুই ধরনের সার্জারিতেই দক্ষ একটি অভিজ্ঞ কার্ডিয়াক সার্জিক্যাল টিম তাঁর নেতৃত্বে কাজ করে। দেশি-বিদেশি জার্নালে তাঁর বহু প্রকাশনা রয়েছে। মিরপুর-১০ এর আল-হেলাল স্পেশালাইজড হাসপাতালে তিনি পরামর্শ ও অপারেশন করেন।
